BJCL presents Laurel Beeler, Assistant US Attorney for the Northern District of California. Beeler has prosecuted complex white-collar crimes as well as violent crimes, public corruption, and civil rights violations. She was the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division, supervising a team of 70 attorneys, and she also supervised the Major Crimes group from 2002 to 2003. Most recently, Beeler was selected to serve as US Magistrate Judge in Oakland.
She will describe her various professional experiences as well as answer your questions regarding our federal criminal justice system.
